  • Are you running on a local server environment? As far as I know, Laravel still checks to see if local or .dev appear in the URL before turning it into a local debug environment. Commented Jan 29, 2013 at 5:01

  • @Matanya - have you looked at your server logs to see WHAT the error 500 actually is? It could be any number of things... Commented Feb 26, 2013 at 6:17
