What are the alternatives for the other element types? I want the 'change' event to fire immediately for input elements, not when the element loses focus. Do you know?

If by "immediately" you mean "whenever a key is pressed in the input" you're looking for the onkeyup, onkeypress, and onkeydown events, not onchange.
