- Thank you! I tried this, but getting an error at wordApp[["Documents"]]$Open(Filename=file) : <checkErrorInfo> 80020009 No support for InterfaceSupportsErrorInfo checkErrorInfo -2147352567 Error: Exception occurred.Geet– Geet2018-12-16 01:11:48 +00:00Commented Dec 16, 2018 at 1:11
- I was having that issue too and realized that I couldn't even open my docx by clicking it. The docx itself was corrupted. That's probably not your issue, but make sure your file is in good order, and double-check the filename you provided for the file object is correct - that's the best advice I can give at this point.Zachary Smithingell– Zachary Smithingell2018-12-16 01:14:46 +00:00Commented Dec 16, 2018 at 1:14
- I just tried opening that file and it did open. One thing though, it has images and lot of formatting stuff.Geet– Geet2018-12-16 01:18:10 +00:00Commented Dec 16, 2018 at 1:18
- Even with lots of formatting and images, it seems strange that the open step would trip it up. I'm going to keep obsessing about this and I'll give an update if I find anything. Sorry!Zachary Smithingell– Zachary Smithingell2018-12-16 01:34:09 +00:00Commented Dec 16, 2018 at 1:34

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. python-3.x), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
