When someone goes through and makes edits to several topics, the WebNotify sends an email for each. It would be really nice if it cron'd only once a day, and sent a digest of the changes in a single message. -- KevinKinnell - 19 Apr 2000

TWiki actually does not send a notification for each change, it sends out notifications in certain intervals. (3) Notification in TWikiDocumentation tells you how set it up. The TWiki installations here on SourceForge sends out an email in 30 minutes intervals. I like to have it reasonably frequent to foster lively discussions.

At work we have 4 notifications per day. I just set our TWiki here to have the same interval, this will reduce the number of emails you get per day. Let me know if you prefer to have even less mail, like for example once a day. [Well, maybe we could vote on it. After all we are using a collaboration tool. -- ArnoVanDerKolk - 23 Apr 2000]

As an idea, it would be nice to be able to specify the interval time on a user level, perhaps as a new preferences variable, or as a value you specify in the WebNotify topic (e.g. * WikiName - email - minutes).

Voting showed a clear winner. Most of you prefer to have one email per day. I set the crontab to send out one notification per day.

Never thought about Wiki voting. Works pretty good and it can be audited because of revision control. That means, no cheeting
