The need to reparenting many topics arises naturally when restructuring a web. I couldn't find a specialised tool to do this, so I used GlobalReplacePlugin

Please note that using GlobalReplacePlugin is dangerous - it destroyed data (totally removed the parent line) the first time I tried it. Back up your data before trying. The dependency on it here means that only the TWikiAdminUser can do mass reparenting, further limiting its use.

Nevertheless DynamicReparenting Plugin has not yet been written so it seemed to be my only option.

Parameters:

• Topic Search String: .*
• Search Scope: TheWeb
• Replace Search String: %META:TOPICPARENT{name="WebHome"}%
• Replace String: %META:TOPICPARENT{name="NewParent"}%
• Case Sensitive Replace Search: yes
