Idea for [Plugins.SimplestPlugin]

Perhaps we should have a plugin framework that allows an end user to specify a tag name and a substitution to be made for this tag?

i.e. no coding necessary, table driven, but writes a perl plugin and helps people ramp up to something more sophisticated.
