Spanish Translation of TWiki

SpanishTWikiContrib test release (2008-07-31)

On SpanishTWikiContrib one will find a first test release of a possible SpanishTWikiContrib. As the name suggests, it is a test release! Although I tested it on my system and it worked well, at this stage I cannot assume any guarantee on its proper work. But I really appreciate the help and feedback of any brave tester

The compressed files include the latest version of the differenct, translated topics. A list of the included and translated topics can be found at SpanishTWikiContrib.

It would be nice if you tag the topics accordingly (e.g. with a tag "spanish").

Actually this would be a good idea for other language translations as well.

AvisoTraduccion is a nice idea, too! Maybe we can generalize it to all languages by adding INCLUDE sections or something like that, so Portuguese translators could so something like

%INCLUDE{"TranslationSign" section="Portuguese" source="TWiki.GoodStyle" rev="16"}%

This way by working in some queries we could even track all translations automatically.

In the latest editions of translations I introduced a couple of new things.

See e.g. ArchivosAdjuntos and the variable %FLAGGB%. In the local site I am using at my office I created a separate web for the TWiki translation (TWikiES) and attached the flag of Great Britain to its WebHome. The variable %FLAGGB% is related to this image and so I am using it to mark references to topics that are not yet translated.

Once the translation list of this topic is completed, I will update all pages accordingly. Meanwhile there might be inconsistencies from one translated page to the other.

Thanks Juan. I am just trying to package them as a Contrib. As I never have prepared a Contrib before, you could test it for me, if you do not mind. As soon as I finish the zip / tarball, I will attach it to this page (hopefully this weekend).

And obviously no guarantee for any spelling or grammar mistakes

Very well. In the meantime I'll check out your translations. I've corrected a bunch of mistakes in one of your scripts, mostly wrong assigned "tildes". Still, great Spanish!

Hi Juan. I attached the compressed test release to this page including the latest changes on all topics (also the ones you did on UnPocoSobreTWiki). If you want, just give it a try. At the beginning of this page are some hints and installation instructions. Thanks in advance to you and anybody else who'll be able to give me some feedback.
