Question
Hi,
Why would alphanumeric login names act differently from standard firstname.lastname login names in
LdapContrib?
Example:
mail=abc123@woozer.com, givenName=John, sn=Doe
When logging in as
abc123, the wikiname
JohnDoe shows up.
mail=boo.radley@woozer.com, givenName=Boo, sn=Radley
When logging in as
boo.radley, the wikiname is
booradley; logging in as
BOO.RADLEY results in
BOORADLEY wikiname, and so on.
This second type of login name is case sensitive, where the wikiname is NOT pulled from cache.db, but created on the spot, based on the way the cn (in this case boo.radley) is capitalized.
Any Ideas?

Answer
If you answer a question - or someone answered one of your questions - please remember to edit the page and set the status to answered. The status selector is below the edit box. I have the same problem. I collected a bit more information under
LdapUserMappingWithDotInLoginname (debug log, strange login name encoding).
