Mar 20, 2017 at 18:06 comment added Luis Mendo On second thought, some answers have gone through some effort to produce exit code 1, so it may be better not to change the requirements now
Mar 20, 2017 at 18:04 comment added Luis Mendo If the language doesn't allow changing the exit code, can we just throw an error?
Mar 20, 2017 at 17:59 comment added Dada Could you add more examples please? For instance, [2,2] 4.

Mar 20, 2017 at 14:26 comment added DavidC I believe your list is indeed ordered by not necessarily by integer values.
Mar 20, 2017 at 14:22 comment added Riker I don't really think the exit 0/exit 1 thing is a good idea. Many languages can't exist easily like that, and it's generally allowed to exit with an error (i.e. ignore STDERR) Many golfing languages don't even have an easy way to exit by exit code I think

Mar 20, 2017 at 13:36 comment added philcolbourn And I need to add, that I did not know about Sandbox. I broke all the rules it seems.
Mar 20, 2017 at 13:30 comment added philcolbourn I don't know what is expected since this has been put on hold - I have responded to questions and clarified requirements and responded to each (so far) comment directly, apologetically and this resulted in 2 changes that I expect should satisfy concerns. What remains to be clarified?

Mar 20, 2017 at 12:41 comment added philcolbourn @Peter Taylor, yes, Tom and Rod directly and indirectly point that out to me and I have amended question. Sorry.
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:39 comment added Peter Taylor How can there be a "first" pair in an unordered list? That's inherently self-contradictory.

added rule 5 to clarify use of repeated same list element
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:28 comment added Tom There are different algorithms that can be used and the one I was using found 1 and 7 first.
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:22 comment added philcolbourn @Neil, I don't understand what you are suggesting. Do you want a different output, either false or first 2 integers?
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:21 comment added philcolbourn @Dead Possum, I forgot about that case.. in video it was not allowed so I'll add that requirement. Thanks.
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:19 comment added philcolbourn @rod, program would get to 3 and 5 before 1 and 7.
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:09 comment added Rod In the example, why is the returned pair is (3,5) and not (1,7)?
Mar 20, 2017 at 12:00 comment added Dead Possum Can same number be used two times if that sums to given value?

Mar 20, 2017 at 11:55 comment added Neil This could have been a great question if it had had a chance to shake out some of the loose ends in the Sandbox first. For instance, for something like this I would expect to write a function that returned either a falsy value or a pair of numbers.
