    \$\begingroup\$ @ETHproductions @Dennis Same reason why md5 doesn't produce 5 spaces. d is the default variable that iterates through the iterable argument of the map operator. And jL\ <list> is simply a shortcut for the map operator mj\ d<list>. \$\endgroup\$ Commented Nov 24, 2015 at 18:58
