If you use it on a host in live-user mode and run Whonix, it will provide a high level of protection that Qubes does not offer - isolation and protection against forensic analysis. The distribution is very lightweight and will run on any hardware. It is an ideal solution for those who cannot use Qubes due to hardware limitations. It installs very quickly. Kicksecure has very detailed and interesting documentation and a wiki that provide a lot of information about security. Built on a foundation of robust security, it offers robust hardening without sacrificing usability. I would argue that it is up there with Qubes and BSD when it comes to security. The distro works great for working with different crypto wallets. Kicksecure’s focus on security is a standout feature. Most if not all flavors of linux do not come with secure defaults, but Kicksecure DOES! While it's not main goal of privacy, it does include the Tor dameon. However it doesn't specifically route all traffic over Tor as that is not the main goal of Kicksecure. Some of the privacy things it does include are Live Mode, Torified APT upgrades, removal of geoclue, disabling thumbnail previews and auto mounting of USB drives, and encrypted swap. Thank you for this distribution to use in our day to day. It is important to use good practices in terms of privacy and security.
