May 18, 2017 at 11:50 comment added Michel Keijzers I was searching for SDPT switch/ic ... I see the 4053 is a multiplexer/demultiplexer, but I guess it is used as switch (or 'is' a switch). Sorry for asking maybe trivial questions, but I'm learning a lot so thank you very much for the answer.
May 18, 2017 at 11:36 comment added user133493 I find a datasheet on the very first google search for CD4053: ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cd4051b-mil.pdf. You can search by 4053 by itself, 74HC4053, etc. Correct it is an SPDT analog switch, as named by CL.
May 18, 2017 at 11:05 comment added Michel Keijzers @replete ... is that called an 'analog switch', something like TS3A44159 ?
May 18, 2017 at 10:57 comment added Michel Keijzers @replete I only can find SPDT switches/toggles which need to be switched by finger. I cannot find the part he named (searching SPDT only shows info about the 'generic principle' of SPDT but for parts I only see toggles and similar parts... do I miss something?
May 18, 2017 at 10:50 comment added user133493 Your repeated mention of 'physical switch' suggests you don't understand what CL is suggesting. SPDT is a connection configuration, it is not confined to finger-actuated switches. Google the parts he named, these are digitally controlled. As for 'software serial is not advised', this is nonsense.
