- The third paragraph doesn't relate to other parts of the answer. Slashing is for the "honesty" of the validator in the consensus protocol, not in their "honesty" in handling user's fund. IMO, this sounds a bit like some generated text.minhhn2910– minhhn29102023-01-29 03:56:51 +00:00Commented Jan 29, 2023 at 3:56
- I can't believe if SOL can do it, ETH, being more classical and many people would think its tech is more advanced, if not the same as others, does not have this "I stake with you but I am protected feature" but is, "if you go to Thailand or Argentina, then take my ETH with you"Stefanie Gauss– Stefanie Gauss2023-01-29 09:25:01 +00:00Commented Jan 29, 2023 at 9:25
- The goal of slashing is to incentivize validators to follow the rules of the protocol and maintain the security and integrity of the Ethereum network.vgonearth– vgonearth2023-01-29 13:49:43 +00:00Commented Jan 29, 2023 at 13:49

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. go-ethereum), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
