| May 27, 2018 at 0:35 | comment | added | Theraot | For the readers coming here, I did cover the basics, however it is possible to go beyond what is described here if you wan to: a) be able to download while playing, and swap versions by simply restarting the game (also useful if the download fails and we want to rollback), or b) allow the game to start with only a partial download, and continue to download while the game runs (giving priority to what the player accesses). Both are beyond the scope of the question. | |

I just need to find a tool for the repair part (don't want to reinvent the wheel). rsync will probably do the job for linux/macos versions, but I'll need a similar tool that I could embed in my windows version. | |
