- -1 OP is asking for a arcgis way of doing this. Giving a OpenLayers way isn't really going to help.Nathan W– Nathan W2011-03-04 14:02:58 +00:00Commented Mar 4, 2011 at 14:02
- 3But the openlayers approach couldnt help him find out the way it is done to implement it in arcgis ??1amtoo1337– 1amtoo13372011-03-04 14:08:55 +00:00Commented Mar 4, 2011 at 14:08
- 1I agree with the comment and like your approach: often we have to look outside our comfort zone for ideas and inspiration. But I would find your reply more useful if you could explain how this example is connected to the particular question asked here. Although the question and the example share the word "cluster," it is not evident that they use it in the same sense or address sufficiently similar problems.whuber– whuber2011-03-05 22:26:55 +00:00Commented Mar 5, 2011 at 22:26
- I upvoted this as I was looking for an opensource way of doing this and eventhough the post wanted arcgis, I have often found that a solution in other GIS systems can help you find a solution in your software of choice by using it's tools in a way that is not common.GeorgeC– GeorgeC2016-01-14 06:00:06 +00:00Commented Jan 14, 2016 at 6:00

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. arcgis-desktop), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
