Does acp supports background Bash/Task?

recent claude code has background Bash/Task support,
using BashOutput to get background bash output,
using TaskOutput to get background task output(I believe).
Does acp supports background Bash/Task,
it seemed current acp only has foreground bash?

Does the ACP spec define how run_in_background should be represented?
currently claude-agent-acp doesn't seem to use terminal/create,
and for task output, you mean just call TaskOutput tool(in claude code) to get result?
It seemed quite confusing.

Also, I check it for every 5 seconds,

It seemed pretty "claude code" heavy, since claude code give background task a hex id bc9m8elbq,
and and uses tail -f /private/tmp/claude-501
/ -Users-femtozheng-python-project-minion-code/tasks/bc9m8elbq.output
for checking, which is just confusing.
(I think currently claude-agent-acp converts foreground bash to terminal type of output:
in tools.ts:

if (supportsTerminalOutput) { return { content: [{ type: "terminal", terminalId }], _meta: {...} }; }

I see yeah this seems more like an issue of claude agent adapter issue

ok. currently claude code can press UP and DOWN to switch between background
tasks and see its output, what do you think about that?

You can find MPC/ACP workers which can help you to run bash scripts in ACP repos by default. I set optional file system tuning switch, and other elements logic to @stdiobus/workers-registry. It woks well.
