  • $\begingroup$ Thank you a lot for your nice and detailed answer. The only crucial problem is max less than 1 is way smaller than that needed to show the expected features. And I actually already rescaled the equations to make $a^2+b^2=1$, so the 'increasing $a$' approach is somewhat not very good.
