    $\begingroup$ @407Peezy Sadly I don't know. Actually similar problems have appeared in this site for many times and I never see them being solved in a direct way i.e. by adjusting options, as you've mentioned. I myself tend to take it as the current limitation of DAE solver in Mathematica. I sincerely hope I'm wrong. $\endgroup$ Commented Jun 1, 2018 at 19:21
