I have two questions though; why did you say when using shortest[] the leading ___ matched more than 0 characters, while the trailing one didn’t? What makes them different, if “ttt” could be matched alone, considering the possibility of 0 characters is included on each of the sides with ___? My other question was to check I understood correctly: all the rules are tried on each of the different "words" - as separated by the spaces - before moving to the next word? | |
