- That makes sense, and I think that may have been THE quickest response I've ever received! Is there anywhere on SO where they break down these specific little rules and features so that I don't have to bother meta with these trivial questions? I couldn't find this anywhere on SO.Mick MacCallum– Mick MacCallum2012-03-23 11:48:38 +00:00Commented Mar 23, 2012 at 11:48
- A majority of the information is lingering here on Meta somewhere, but it's not all easy to find if you aren't sure what you're looking for. That said, searching in faq posts can usually get you an answer to most questions you might have.Tim Stone– Tim Stone2012-03-23 11:52:19 +00:00Commented Mar 23, 2012 at 11:52
- Alright, I appreciate it. I pretty extensively searched before posting this, but a majority of my searches were to the effect of "retag button removed." I suppose if I had searched for the edit link disappearing I would have found the post you linked above. If you don't mind posting an answer so I can mark it correct, seeing as you did give me the answer first.Mick MacCallum– Mick MacCallum2012-03-23 11:55:26 +00:00Commented Mar 23, 2012 at 11:55

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. stack-overflow), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
