    I've seen too much "protype" and "temporary" code go into production to ever assume that it won't. It's one thing to hope/plan on re-implementing. It's another thing to find the time in the schedule to do it. Commented May 3, 2012 at 14:55
  • @jwernerny You speaking from your experience, I'm speaking from mine. I think this argument is counter-productive. Oftentimes there're valid commercial reasons for time-to-market to be way more important than quality. It's a sad thing, no doubt about it, but it's a fact of life. Commented May 4, 2012 at 9:09
