- thanks @TravisJ - I upvoted as its a nice explanation of MVC as related to games. Still unclear of certain points, I think, as you say, I'm getting bogged down in the nuances of the patterns and it's stopping me moving forward. One thing I saw was the use of this.view.Select() in the controller - is this type of tight coupling necessary or is there a way of decoupling further?wigglyworm– wigglyworm2014-05-08 08:31:21 +00:00Commented May 8, 2014 at 8:31
- @wigglyworm - There can always be more decoupling! :D But really, the controller should be the one that communicates to the model and then updates the view so that is probably where most coupling takes place in MVC.Travis J– Travis J2014-05-08 16:29:15 +00:00Commented May 8, 2014 at 16:29

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. design-patterns), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
