    OP didn't asked about performance, but about availability. Personally, I'm looking into having 64bit distro for Pi is because latest MongoDB dropped 32bit support. Commented Aug 7, 2017 at 16:28

    In addition, the aarch64 builds tend to depend less on 'closed source vendor libraries', and unlocks the v8 potential instead of keeping you locked into v7 capabilities. Commented Jun 19, 2018 at 22:11
