A little about me, huh? Well, I teach college-level English, which explains why New Years for me happens in August and January, and why I look forward to the summertime, despite the heat and the--shudder!--bugs. In addition to teaching, I do have the obligatory other job, the one that gives me things like health insurance and other benefits.
My third job, and the hardest one to make the time for, is my writing. My research interests for non-fiction writing--fantasy/horror graphic novels, fan culture/slash fiction and film--coincide more with my writing ones, which are fantasy/dark fantasy and mythic fiction and poetry. I'm a published poet who is in pursuit of that elusive first fiction sale. I'm currently working on two novels (an urban dark fantasy and a secondary world fantasy). They are not the first novels that I've started, but they will be the first I finish.
I live in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, within walking distance of Lake Erie and am owned by a terribly possessive dachshund.
