Whatsapp is rolling out passkeys. I don't think backing up passkeys in a password manager is a good idea. I'd like to have device bound passkeys but they only allow me to create one. How should I be able to have it in different devices for backup? Different yubikeys, for example

  • I looked up the WhatsApp FAQ on this and they use Google Password Manager and IOS. Passkeys are backed up using those features. So, your question is really "how can I extract and backup passkeys from Google Password Manager and iOS Keychain?". And therefore you can't use another system because Whatsapp uses the device-specific functions. All this is from their documentation.
