  • You could of course continue with this approach, however at one point in time, most likely you will hit a wall. If people have planned a n-tier solution architecture just for the sake of claiming they make use of such architecture, for sure (in my opinion & experience) for sure it does not apply in the case of SharePoint entirely. Go for the SharePoint Guidance on Codeplex for more best practices, maybe it give more ideas around "dos and dont's". Commented May 15, 2012 at 21:06
