  • I'd go further and say that using an xUnit tool to run functional tests is fine, as long as you don't confuse the tooling with the type of test, and you keep these tests separate from actual unit tests, so that devs can still run unit tests quickly at commit time. These are likely to be much slower than unit tests. Commented Jun 1, 2017 at 8:37
