EmuTOS is a TOS compatible operating system for Atari ST series computers, and more. It is made from Digital Research's GPLed original sources and is a free and open source alternative to Atari proprietary ROMs.

Cooperative Linux is the first method for optimally running Linux on Windows and other operating systems natively. It is a port of the Linux kernel and support code that allows it to run cooperatively without emulation along with another operating system.

C-BIOS is an open source BIOS for MSX computers. C-BIOS can be shipped with MSX emulators so they are usable out-of-the-box. This project aims to improve C-BIOS by fixing incompatibilities with the MSX BIOS and the development of a Disk ROM.

colorForth is, in Chuck Moore's own words: "A dialect of Forth that uses color to replace punctuation. Includes its own operating system. Produces extremely compact programs. Instant compile from pre-parsed source."

UEFI GPT fdisk is a port to UEFI of the famous GPT fdisk partitioning tool, see http://sourceforge.net/projects/gptfdisk/ . Now since this program runs directly under UEFI shell you don't need to *boot* the system to convert/edit partition tables.

scmRTOS is tiny Real-Time Preemptive Operating System intended for use with Single-Chip Microcontrollers. scmRTOS is capable to run on small uCs with as little amount of RAM as 512 bytes. The RTOS is written on C++ and supports various platforms.

Visopsys is an alternative operating system for PC compatible computers. In development since 1997, this system is small, fast, and open source. It features a simple but functional graphical interface, pre-emptive multitasking, and virtual memory. Though it attempts to be compatible in a number of ways, Visopsys is not a clone of any other operating system. You can demo the distribution from a “live” CD/DVD or floppy disk

With this project I intend to write a really, really simple OS, just for fun and learning. I think I will never have a really usable version, as I said, that's no my objective.
