wttr.in is a console-oriented weather forecast service that supports various information representation methods like terminal-oriented ANSI-sequences for console HTTP clients (curl, httpie, or wget), HTML for web browsers, or PNG for graphical viewers. Originally started as a small project, a wrapper for wego, intended to demonstrate the power of the console-oriented services, wttr.in became a popular weather reporting service, handling tens of millions of queries daily.

This code works best with the NodeMCU V2 ESP8266 module and an 0.96" OLED display. To get you up and running in no time we created a kit that contains all the necessary parts. By buying this and other kits from us you are funding the maintenance and development of this library. Make sure you use a version of the Arduino IDE which is supported by the ESP8266 platform. WxTools (Weather Data Tool Suite) is a collection of software for collecting and displaying weather data from various weather stations. The software works with the Fine Offset WH290 and similar models (including clones such as the Pro-Signal PSG04173). It also works with the Oregon Scientific WMR180 weather station (and probably similar models such as the WMR88 and WMR100) as well as the older WMR928. Sample weather data is provided.

This electronic weather station system involves two weather stations that communicate with each other via XBEE RF modules and upload and download information from a Website via an RN-171-XV Wi-Fi module. The design files include the Fritzing CAD files, the etchable PDF PCB layout files, the Gerber files, parts listings, software listings (embedded software listings and Website scripts), and schematics of the circuit boards. There are two circuit boards which are the main controller board and the Timer/Regulator board. The Main controller board performs all the processing of the system. The timer/regulator board converts the 12vdc input voltage to the 3.3v and 5v DC voltages used by the main controller board. The timer/regulator board communicates with the main board via a serial communication cable. The timer/regulator board can be commanded by the main board to power the system down for a precise interval in order to conserve battery power. A Web-based control panel SW is included.
