Feature Proposal: Configuration option to disable LINKTOOLTIPINFO

Motivation

If you have a hundred or more links to other topics on a topic, setting LINKTOOLTIPINFO on makes the topic viewing really slow. If you have a lot of links on the top menu of a web, all topics of the web suffer.

Description and Documentation

Modify TWiki::Render::_linkToolTipInfo() so that if $TWiki::cfg{Links}{DisableToolTip} is true, it returns a null string ("").

I find it confusing for users to have the LINKTOOLTIPINFO setting in the profile page, and have it take no effect of set to on or off in case $TWiki::cfg{Links}{DisableToolTip} is set. Why not simply remove the LINKTOOLTIPINFO setting from the user template topic in your large TWiki deployment?

LINKTOOLTIPINFO is not set by default. Still once in a while, users set it and complain "slowness".

So why not remove it in your installation from the profile pages and user profile template page?

I've realized that it's only a matter of setting it off Main.TWikiPreferences and then finalize it. I'm retracting this proposal.
