This way lacks some ability of displaying inline images linked by their Content-ID. On the other hand I fully understand If the reason is image loading due to privacy concerns. You can possibly widen the range of clients if you consider IMAP while running IMAP server on top of your maildirs and listening only on loopback interface. In Evolution, mails dating from 2016 to 2018 would show up, but no recent ones. In KMail, all accounts would stay empty. Mutt uses the same directories and works as expected. This feels... strange at least. | |
