Gave the Dark Otter approach a try but it fails with the follow error gpg: cancelled by user gpg: error creating passphrase: Operation cancelled gpg: symmetric encryption of `[stdin]' failed: Operation cancelled

I was able to get the Dark Otter Approach to work with GPG 1.4.21 but not GPG 2.0.22. Using 2.0.22 never prompts me to enter a passphrase.
