| Apr 26, 2013 at 20:23 | comment | added | user | I ended up refining this to sed -r 's/^(On [0-3][0-9] [A-Z][a-z][a-z] [12][0-9]{3} [0-9][0-9]:[0-9][0-9] [+-][0-9]{4})(, from (\S+)) \(\3\):$/\1\2:/', which is a fair bit more restrictive in what it matches, but also more closely matches my usage.
