Which is the first statement where the object originally held in m, may be garbage collected
Question is Line 6 or 7 ?
Answer is 7. Why ?? I feel after 6 and before 7. Please advice how should I interpret this ?

You are correct, after the line 6, it'll be GCed. But, in this question, there is no answer such as after 6 and before 7. So, we should select in line 7 as the answer. because, that's not definitely on line 6.
