The Southern California OS/2 User Group USA | | | Warp on the Web With Reports on Web Browsers for OS/2 A Quick Look at HotJava July 21, 2001 by Dave Watson Summary: Simple browser provided by Sun Microsystems to demonstrate Java. Runs on any system with a working Java Virtual Machine running. Source: free from Sun at http://java.sun.com/products/hotjava/ Version: 3.0 Installation: Very good. Features: Netscape 4 and IE 4 extensions to HTML 3.2. Intended to give developers a tool to develop web-enabled applications. Problems: A little slow. Chokes on flash pages. Recommendation: Interesting, but not your primary web surfing tool. Take a look at the browser overview with quick looks at other web browsers for OS/2.
