VirtualNet recognizes that the current economic climate is has made it more difficult for some firms to undertake complex projects requiring experienced oversight. We have adjusted our rates accordingly, to share the bad times as well as the good with our client base and to expand the range of genuinely interesting work which we can consider undertaking.

STANDARD RATES

VirtualNet Consulting charges a standard fee of $150 per 1099 consultant hour or $100 per W2 consultant hour for short-term consulting services (less than 250 hours). A discounted rate of $125/1099 or $90/W2 is available for projects involving over 200 hours of consulting time. If a project is discontinued at less than 200 hours for any reason other than client satisfaction with consulting services, final invoice will be adjusted to the non-discounted rate.

For local appointments made less than 24 hours in advance, billable time includes all travel time to and from the client site. For non-local consulting, please see "Daily Rates" below. Exceptions to the 8-hour daily rate minimum are negotiable for certain SF Bay Area locations such as Berkeley, Marin, Sausalito, etc.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

VirtualNet consultants may not be assigned to a client site until a signed purchase order for estimated work is obtained and a mutual NDA has been signed.

VirtualNet will invoice clients promptly at the end of each month or at the completion of mutually agreed-upon project milestones, whichever comes soonest. All invoices for 1099 based work are fully due and payable within 15 business days of receipt by client supervising manager.

A late fee of 5 percent will be imposed on the 1st of each month on outstanding balances and added to subsequent invoices. Late fees may be waived by pre-arrangement only.

DAILY RATES

"Local" is defined as "within one hour's total travel time of VirtualNet's home office in the SF Bay Area." For services not performed locally, VirtualNet charges a minimum daily rate.

A "day" is defined as up to eight hours at the client site, or related site while working on tasks associated with the project, in a single calendar day. A minimum of 8 hours will be billed daily for non-local work for each work day. If more than 8 hours of work is performed on a given day, actual work hours will be billed beyond the daily 8-hour minimum.

If weekend travel is indicated, actual travel time will be billed at standard rates but the 8-hour minimum will not apply to the weekend day unless work is actually performed.

VirtualNet also bills expenses for transportation, lodging, and out-of-pocket expenses associated with the client project. VirtualNet will apply client site standards for lodging, airline, and per diem whenever possible. VirtualNet will attempt to minimize transportation costs to the client, but full-fare coach or business class travel may be required if arrangements are not finalized with sufficient lead time to obtain better fares. VirtualNet requires a signed purchase order for estimated consulting and expenses before committing any consultants to travel.

TRAINING RATES

VirtualNet Consulting charges $150 per consultant hour for local presentations of seminars, speeches, and training. VirtualNet retains all copyright to materials produced unless otherwise specifically negotiated. Client will be granted permission to reproduce materials for internal use only in perpetuity.

Development of custom training materials will be billed at Standard Rates rather than training rates. Scheduled presentations or training of 2 hours or more include a half-hour planning meeting and a half-hour wrap up meeting at no charge.
