    Well got these clips as I had seem many people use them to help them make face masks in the times of covid. So I got some as I too am making masks. I will say they are quite sturdy and have a great grip. I got the mini’s which have a more narrow clipping end. Perfect for holding fabric together. I also like that there is a flat bottom part which makes it easier to keep fabric straight. I was actually using paper binder clips, which are a bit to wide, but in a pinch they worked fine. But these mini clips work even better.

    I also like that they have bright colors, easy to see and find if you drop them. The clips have a great grip and even have a small pimple/dot to have a spot that really grabs the fabric. I found this out when I was using the clips to hold down my paper pattern to the fabric and found a little tiny divot in the paper. I would recommend these clips to anyone that sews. I would also recommend this brand, well made and designed tools and sewing accessories. And they all seem to be Made In Japan not China.

    I love these for using to bind my quilts with and just learned another great use for them, keeping excess fabric tucked away from the stitching area on your embroidery machine when working on clothing articles that can get bunched up like t-shirts, by clipping the fabric to your embroidery hoop. I wish they were a little more affordable but there is nothing else like it on the market that I am aware of and the quality is very good. I'd like to buy more of these in the future but one set is more than enough for quilting binding, you just need to clip one area, sew, unclip, then clip the next section and so on. If you are using the largest size embroidery hoop, I think you'd need several packages but for a small to medium size hoop, one package is sufficient. Its so refreshing to see Clover producing products in bright fun colors now too. I really liked this multi-color pack. Would buy again for sure.

    Clover makes a great product. It is slightly different (the metal component and maybe the type of plastic used) than the ones made in China (the clear, round plastic container of 100 clips and the zippered bag with 180 clips) but the cost is so much higher for 100 Clover clips that even if a few of the China clips were broken you could afford to get more!

    If I knew more about why Clover is so much more expensive maybe my choice would be different.
    I'll be returning these this time.

    The quality of the clips are excellent. The clips are more narrow than standard squared off clips. The tip tapers to a blunt point for small spaces. It will not hold pieces as flat as the wider clips but, work well in tight spaces and tight curves, points, when working with fabric. Since they are so small, they are more difficult to get hold of and go flying across the table if your fingers slip off the clip. I almost have to grasp them sideways instead of straight on to get a grip on the clip. They do have their place for working with small areas of fabric especially, if pins won't work with what you are doing.
