| Dec 11, 2017 at 4:49 | comment | added | Thally Ace | @Lucas kindly send me the contents of the extracted ROM so that I can figure an alternative way of loading the files to phone. The list of the items in the ROM after unzipping | |
| Dec 11, 2017 at 1:22 | comment | added | Lucas | I tried both ROMs that you gave me, I keep getting an Error 7 in TWRP. I tried following this tutorial (forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522762) but there is no assert command in updater-script. I tried a different version of TWRP and it still didn't work. I did discover though that one version of TWRP does not give me the error 7 while flashing but the other did. both are unofficial versions because the official version of TWRP does not boot on my phone. Also, I couldn't get it to work with SP Flash Tool either because there is no map for scatter-loading. | |

| Dec 6, 2017 at 16:53 | comment | added | Lucas | I do NOT have the stock ROM. What I downloaded was an update package from Huawei that requires the stock ROM already on the device. I found no flashable downloads for the stock ROM for the US version of the Honor 8. | |
