- I suggest that you read the "Issues" section of the Wikipedia article on "Foxit PDF Reader" before recommending it, or even mentioning it, on this site.Linc Davis– Linc Davis2025-01-14 18:30:03 +00:00Commented Jan 14 at 18:30
- 1Those issues with Foxit are 10 years ago. I use it when needed, just for occasions like this with PDFs from, I assume, the Internet Archive.Gilby– Gilby2025-01-15 04:06:45 +00:00Commented Jan 15 at 4:06
- I use Foxit as my "non-PDFKit" viewer, and it doesn't install any other software. I haven't run it with Little Snitch or similar, to see if it's sending anything to China, though I'm not sure what data it would be able to garner.benwiggy– benwiggy2025-01-15 08:13:38 +00:00Commented Jan 15 at 8:13

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. macbook-pro), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
