Jeff Kosseff is an associate professor of cybersecurity law at the United States Naval Academy’s Cyber Science Department. He is also a non-resident senior fellow for The Future of Free Speech. Kosseff writes about online speech, the First Amendment, and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, and is the author of several books, including Liar in a Crowded Theater: Freedom of Speech in a World of Misinformation (2023) and The Future of Free Speech: Reversing the Global Decline of Democracy's Most Essential Freedom (2026).
