- $\begingroup$ you need to make sure you have the correct uv map selected under the vertex properties ( right panel ) $\endgroup$Sidar– Sidar2018-06-27 11:43:55 +00:00Commented Jun 27, 2018 at 11:43
- $\begingroup$ I am really sorry but I am unsure what you mean, is this something I have to do before or after using the Smart Unwrap function? $\endgroup$FallibleScot– FallibleScot2018-06-27 12:17:05 +00:00Commented Jun 27, 2018 at 12:17
- 1$\begingroup$ I'm not sure what you're trying to do. Why are you uv mapping, when it's already unwrapped? $\endgroup$Sidar– Sidar2018-06-27 13:08:58 +00:00Commented Jun 27, 2018 at 13:08
- $\begingroup$ I want to create a texture file of the complete model, which will be used by the game Tabletop Simulator since it reads the geometry and textures separately (I have no idea how this is done for any other games / software etc). I am starting with the model I posted in the first picture, with the character textured correctly. I want to get the all textures and islands into a single jpg so that when the game reads the geometry and jpg together the object will appear in game textured properly - sorry if my terminology is all messed up - I thought this process was called UV mapping $\endgroup$FallibleScot– FallibleScot2018-06-27 17:17:58 +00:00Commented Jun 27, 2018 at 17:17
- 1$\begingroup$ What does the UV map look like when you click on the character and go into edit mode? $\endgroup$Moshi– Moshi2018-06-27 18:14:46 +00:00Commented Jun 27, 2018 at 18:14

How to Tag
A tag is a keyword or label that categorizes your question with other, similar questions. Choose one or more (up to 5) tags that will help answerers to find and interpret your question.
- complete the sentence: my question is about...
- use tags that describe things or concepts that are essential, not incidental to your question
- favor using existing popular tags
- read the descriptions that appear below the tag
If your question is primarily about a topic for which you can't find a tag:
- combine multiple words into single-words with hyphens (e.g. cycles-render-engine), up to a maximum of 35 characters
- creating new tags is a privilege; if you can't yet create a tag you need, then post this question without it, then ask the community to create it for you
