I recently upgraded to Linux Mint 20. Have not tried using Blender before, so not sure if that has anything to do with it.

Whenever I try to start Blender it freezes the whole system and I need to force the laptop to power off. I don't think it's related to the specs, as the hardware should meet the minimum requirements. I experience the same issue when starting the game engine Unity. So it's probably not a bug in the software.

Can anybody help me?

Below are the specs. If anything else is needed, I'll add it to the post.

Update: blender-softwaregl seems to work without problems. So there has to be a problem when using the integrated GPU.

Sorry for people having a similar problem. But I just installed Linux Mint 20 from scratch and that solved my problem.
