> I think in both cases the error text should state not just what module was being imported but also what module was being imported from FYI, I filed the following report partly in response to some of the comments I made above: http://bugs.python.org/issue8297 (regarding the AttributeError not displaying the name of the module from which the caller is trying to get the attribute)
