\$\begingroup\$ @Bubbler thanks. i was reshaping the result to the reversed argument. instead, i should have been reshaping to the actual argument and then transposing. this is just for visualization, the actual result is flat. \$\endgroup\$

\$\begingroup\$ Oh, so that was a formatting issue. Didn't think of flatten (ravel) to reverse the entire array easily. \$\endgroup\$
