  • \$\begingroup\$ I'm suspicious of the "\n".join() for 3 items, even if the list is used to conditionally remove the first element. Perhaps something like b*(x+"\n")+y+"\n"+z is shorter? \$\endgroup\$ Commented Mar 25, 2015 at 3:16
