Hi everyone,
I bought two vouchers one year ago - one for Web component and the other for Business component from Sun. Didn't have time to study the entire past year ... but since the vouchers were expiring I decided to take my chances and I scheduled 3 weeks ago both exams for today (last available day :-) Then I bought Head First Servlets & JSP and Head First EJB from amazon.com (they were on sale). Awesome books!!! Loved reading them - I studied 2 hours every night of a week for SCWCD and another week for SCBCD. I also "sacrificed" the Memorial long weekend to review the topics and to take the mock exams at the end of each book.
This morning at 10 am I took the web component first - passed with 82% and right after it I took the EJBs and passed with 88%. The EJBs are much easier, more logical and there is not as much to memorize. Well, I think anyone who has just a little bit of experience with the technologies covered in the exams and understands the concepts - which are explained very well in the books - will have no problems passing the exams. Also, I think that studying for both at the same time helps a lot - it's just J2EE:-)
I don't remember getting any question in the real exams that wasn't covered in the book. And the questions are so alike. Million of thanks to Kathy Sierra, Bert Bates and Bryan Basham!! And as they say in their boos - thanks to Sun's Spec teams for making the specs complex enough that I needed to buy the books to learn and read them!!!
All the best!

Gacu, I add my congrats to your already long list
2 exams in 3 weeks is awesome, and not to mention high scores. I doubt I can do an exam in that little time, let alone 2 on the same day.
Just wondering, are the SCBCD and SCWCD any more difficult to study and understand than the SCJP.
I'll get on to one of them, or both, as you have suggested, after I am done with the C# mcp that i am doing now.

Thanks everyone!
Jeff,
I'm sure that I wouldn't pass both SCWCD and SCBCD without Head First books. It was way easier for me to study for the exams now then it was for for SCJP 3 years ago, because of these awsome, smart, funny books... the best technical books I've ever read.
I think someone who passed SCJP and now wants to carry on further but is not familiar with JSPs, Servlets and EJBs the first choice should be SCWCD.
Good luck!
