tool for uml diagram

Hi guys
I have Rational Software Architect 6.0 (from IBM) installed in my system and i am planning to use that to draw UML diagrams for SCEA. RSA is an excellent tool for drawing UML diagrams. however ,I want to know if thats a good option for the SCEA exam.

I think as long as it is UML 2.0 compliant, is perfectly fine.

Of course, if you know how to use it (that's a PLUS).

Good choice, that's the one I used too plus a trial version of Visual Paradigm. I reviewed a few UML tools and you really get professional looking diagrams for no money with these two.

I used Jude community edition and found it quite good.

I used for the exam Jude. I think it is quite okay. For business stuff I use Rational. I think both are good choices for drawing the UML diagrams that Sun wants to have.

gigi, what is " Visual Paradigm " used for. Never heard of it. Is it used along with RSA?

The assignment itself says that the diagrams must be UML complaint, but doesn't say that it should be UML 2.0 Please correct me if I am wrong.

The Jude community edition and RSA 6.0 doesn't support UML 2.0
So I am curious as UML 2.0 complaint is necessary or not? Can any one advice on this?

I also have question regarding Component diagrams. I want to draw the component diagrams just by using JSPs/Servlets/Business delegates, EJB's, etc, as the deliverables in the assignment say that we need to show these diagrams.

So is there a problem with this approach? And can you also point few references in this regard?

Nope , thats not correct. RSA does support UML2.0.

I am not sure what the answer is regarding your question on component diagrams. may be someone who has given the exam will be able to answer the question.
