My son is using students guide by Sun Educational Services. Whether K&B Book and the Students Guide are one and the same or different.

They are completely different. One is a Sun product, the other a published book by Osbourne publishing.

As far as I know Sun doesn't have any documentation specifically geared towards studying for the SCJP exam, in any of its versions. Can you be more specific about the name of the materials you have? I'm guessing you have an SL-275 course book which is completely different than our book.
