How to send a mail to confirm registration.?

Hello.

i am newbie for industry, i struck with a small doubt. while we register with coderanch.com, we will get some mail with a link for confirmation to complete registration. How is it possible with java coding. Please help me

That's what the JavaMail API is for. You also need a mail server (at least an SMTP server that can send mails).

You'd generate some cryptographically secure token (maybe a hash that combines the userID, the email adress, and a timestamp), and make that part of the URL that you send to the user. You also store that along with the user data. Only after that URL has been accessed (a fact that you also need to store somehow) and you've verified that token as valid, you'd allow the user to log in. It's common that the URL is only good for a limited time (maybe 24 hours). If the user doesn't click the link within that period, he needs to have a new one generated and sent to him.
