Has anyone written a simple servlet application using this server. I am able to write the simple helloservlet but looks like we need to register in the weblogic.properties file.I am able to run The example given but i still hav doubts about what should I do once i finish writing my Java servlet and compiling it.. from here i find it difficult. Please help me with the steps.
For this should i create a new weblogic properties file or can I use the already existing one which has registered all the example servlets. I thinkg I have to create a new one but I am
not sure where to do it(which directory) and i need more info on this. The help documents provide info but I feel what I want is not clearly mentioned.
Please help me out ...

you can use the existing weblogic.properties file in the <installation directory>/weblogic directory. Check out this post for some directions.
I hope that helps.

It is not required to create a new weblogic.properties file registering the new servlets. You can just open the existing properties file and add the new servlet.
Otherwise you can also do the hot deployment of the servlet by using the management console utility of the weblogic server.
